Coaches

Tom is the Head Women's Volleyball coach at Newtown High School where most recently, his team won the 2020 South-West Conference North Division championship. He has been coaching with CT Juniors since 2007 and Travel Program Director since 2013.

CT Juniors Coach since 2007, CT Juniors Travel Coach since 2019, East Haven High School Varsity Coach since 2011, 4-Time Division Champion, SCC Champion Runner-up, State Champion Finalist, holds East Haven Coach Record for most wins

In high school, Leah was 1st Team All State and CT Gatorade Player of the Year.  She played at Springfield College (03-07) where she was named Rookie of the year, First Team All-Conference and voted Springfield College ‘s Volleyball Player of the Year, Most Outstanding Female Athlete for team sports, All-New England Region Team, and All-Tournament Team and is currently enshrined in the CT Women's Volleyball Hall of Fame.

Amato has over 300-plus victories as Woodland Regional High School Varsity Coach (2006-present), including the 2013 Class M state championship, appearances in the 2012 and 2022 Class M state finals, three other visits to the state semifinals, and five NVL championships ('07, '09, '13, '15 & '22), and CT Juniors Coach for 5+ years.
